CEPD Retreat

On September 6-9, 2018, an interdisciplinary group of 11 CEPD faculty affiliates gathered at the Taft Nicholson Center in Montana’s beautiful Centennial Valley. This assemblage of ecologists, engineers, planners, artists, social scientists, architects, and designers assembled to discuss ongoing initiatives led and/or supported by CEPD, such as the Landscape Lab, Dark Skies initiative, Utah Resilience Initiative, and Gateway Natural Amenity Communities, and identify goals and action items for CEPD in the coming year. We also discussed big-picture strategies for building the CEPD’s capacity and opportunities for leadership in interdisciplinary approaches to research, planning and design in the built environment.
