Model Code

This model code is being provided as an example of a comprehensive set of policies designed to produce conservation developments.  Since many communities already have most of the administrative procedures well in place, they will not need to be duplicated.  Critical elements from the model code are: Sketch plan requirements, four step design process, maintenance plans, non-uniform lot sizes, site analysis requirements, inclusion in the General Plan, Zoning, and the planning jurisdictions map of primary and secondary open space types. Practitioners should study the model code to determine what can be used to supplement existing policy documents.
